The small roads in the country side which are not very busy with traffic are perfect for cycling tours suitable for the whole family.
Mountain bike enthusiasts will also find challenging routes. The Akamas peninsula has an unlimited reseivoir of wonderful trails for all levels of experience.
The trip starts at 9:00 in the morning. The first stop will be at the old sea caves on the west coast of Paphos, where you will have the opportunity to walk through and explore them.
You will go through a number of small villages, and later on, you will get on a boat that will take you to the beautiful area of Fontana Amoroza, where you will have the chance to swim in the clear waters of the region.
The last sight you will visit are the Adonis Baths, the most spectacular 2-level waterfalll of the island. You can swim in the natural spring water, or even jump from the top of the waterfalls!
Take a day to visit this unspoiled natural landmark of Cyprus, that is protected by international treaties and organisations.
The trip begins with coffee, and then a ride to the entrance of the Avacas Gorge. The tour will continue through Akamas, for the next stop at Lara Bay, a beach where the green turtles deposit their eggs every year.
Later in the day, after the group reaches the Baths of Aphrodite, you will have a traditional lunch, and an opportunity to go swimming at the beautiful beach of the area.
Through winding roads, the group drives up to the Stavros tis Psokas Forestry Station, where you will meet the ...moufflons, the rare will sheep that belong to a unique Cyprus species. After some rest there, you move on to the ten century-old Kykko monastery, and the cherry village of Pedoulas for a traditional lunch. Once you're rested, the tour will take you to the top of Mt. Olympus, to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. On the way back, you're in for a surprise we know you will like!
This trip takes the reverse route from the one described above, except that you will visit the Tzelefos bridge, instead of the Stavros tis Psokas Forestry Station.
Walking along the uniquely beautiful gorge, through a trek adorned by wild vegetation and massive rock formations, you will learn from your guide a lot of interesting details about the flora and fauna of the area.
No matter which season you visit Cyprus in, this full day walk will take you through scenic routes, giving you a chance to capture some of the most beautiful landscapes that Cyprus has to offer. Occassionaly you will also walk through some traditional villages for a glimpse of the vanishing way of life. These walking tours include breaks and lunch in some of these traditional villages.
Both experienced fishermen and enthusiastic beginners enjoy being on a luxurious yacht that is also fully equipped for fishing. An experienced skipper will take you to the best areas for catching tuna, swordfish and maybe even ab octopus. No matter what you catch, you still get to eat a homemade lunch as well as seasonal fruits, along with wine and soft drinks.
A relaxing day of fishing in one of the many water reservoirs in your area can sometimes prove a great escape. Equipment is provided and a picnic lunch will be packed with food and drink for you.
If you want to get a feeling of what Cyprus used to be like in times past, this is the excursion of choice for you. It will take you through several Greek and Turkish Cypriot villages, some abandoned, and then you will have the opportunity to visit an old, traditional house, where you will taste many traditional delicacies, wines, and, if you dare, the unique, very strong ‘Zivania’ spirit. Your trip on the old village bus will take you through picturesque orange groves on the way to the donkey-farm.
From there, you get to ride a donkey all the way to an abandoned 13th century monastery, recently restored by UNESCO and recognized as part of the World Cultural Heritage. The tranquility of the place is unparalleled.
Back at the donkey-farm, you will be treated to a traditional barbeque and traditional music entertainment. We promise that this will be a memorable day.
Save your appetite during the day, before coming to Cyprus night: you will be treated to innumerable delicacies, the ‘Meze’, offering great variety and an opportunity to learn a lot about the local cuisine. Local village wine is also on the house, and of course the Greek and Cypriot folk music and dance show will help you digest… or tempt you to join the fun!
The old Bedford Fun Bus will take you back in time and places of unique interest: you will first visit the reconstruction of a prehistoric village, and the extraordinary sculptures and artwork at the Cyprus College of Art. Then you will visit the Ayios Neophytos monastery, to see the caves carved out of the rocks and decorated with frescoes. On the way to the Sea Caves, the trip stops for a while to the Adonis Waterfalls. You can swim by the caves, or just relax while a great, traditional BBQ lunch is being prepared for you. Later on, you get to visit a small, scenic fishing harbor, and an interesting snake and reptile exhibit.
